I was looking for a school to do my IPC check so I visited this school at the end of August (last month). The front desk lady (she s nice) referred me to the guy who is in the second office left-hand-side. I have been told he s in charge of the school. After I told him my intention, he didn t introduce himself nor the school & course. He stared at me with an I don t care face and said nothing but hum . After an awkward silence for a few seconds I have to continue asking him about the price of simulator and instructors etc. He said if the price is the only thing that you concerned, go across the street and buy an instructor s signature from another school. You won t fly in the US anyway. I was so shocked. It is definitely discrimination to foreign pilots. Come on man, I give you the chance to introduce your school but you said nothing, I have to start asking questions by myself. And as a customer of course price is one of my concerns. If I ask you how s your teaching quality, of course you will say good. I wont waste my time ask that I can only judge by your attitude and the school s environment. And I don t know where s your anger comes from, I don t know what s your problem to foreign pilots. But I can tell you that I will NEVER come to this school again and I will tell every single pilot I know to stay away from this place.

Amazing instruction! I am a Navy FA-18 pilot and got my ATP from SDFTI. The school was highly recommended by my peers. The bottom line: If you want a shortcut to your ATP or any other qualification and to receive it without knowing what you are doing, do not come here. If you want to become a better pilot, have your standards raised, be humbled a little, and learn: this is the place. I am no rock star in a plane by any standard, but these guys helped me succeed quite well on my check ride. I flew with four instructors: Ali (Chief FI), Zach (second in command) and a brand new instructor of theirs, Jonathan. Each had a wonderfully refreshing way to guide me through my path complimenting each other perfectly. They comprehensively taught me what I needed and more and made me a much better GA pilot. I did not know that the standards I know and respect in both Naval and Marine Corps instruction could be matched. These guys got it!
